After years of family vacations to Akumal, the Lombardi Family opened Taverna Akumal in an effort to continue the tradition of providing people with a warm and inviting neighborhood restaurant.

From our flagship risottos, homemade pizzas and pastas, our chefs strive to bring the best of Italy to Mexico using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and traditional preparation methods. Our chef, Leo Leonetti, studied at Istituto Alberghiero in Italy and was previously at Hotel Viva Wyndham Azteca and El Dorado Seaside in Rivera Maya, Mexico.
